ΚΛΙΝΙΚΗ ΔΡΑΣΤΗΡΙΟΤΗΤΑ

Υπηρέτησα ως ειδικευόµενη στο Εθνικό Σύστηµα Υγείας της Μ. Βρετανίας για 5 χρόνια (08/1998-09/2003). Έλαβα τον τίτλο της ειδικότητας από το Βασιλικό Κολλέγιο Ψυχιάτρων (MRCPsych) και ακολούθως µε την υποστήριξή του (The 2003 Eli Lilly Travelling Fellowship) µετεκπαιδεύτηκα στο Harvard Medical School, McLean Hospital και  Mailman Research Center για 1 έτος (09/2003-09/2004).   Το ακαδηµαϊκό έτος 2004-2005 δίδαξα το µάθηµα της Ψυχιατρικής ως Επιστηµονικός  Συνεργάτης του Τοµέα Ψυχιατρικής  και  Επιστηµών  Συµπεριφοράς  του Πανεπιστηµίου  Κρήτης. Στη συνέχεια  υπηρέτησα  στο  Εθνικό  Σύστηµα  Υγείας  της Μεγάλης  Βρετανίας  ως επιµελήτρια  ψυχιατρικής  (Specialist Registrar in General Adult Psychiatry) για 6 χρόνια (2005-2011). Το 2011 ολοκλήρωσα την υπηρεσία µου ως επιµελήτρια και το General Medical Council µου απένειµε τον τίτλο CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist). Έκτοτε εργάζοµαι ως Διευθύντρια Ψυχίατρος στην ψυχιατρική κλινική «Άγιος Χαράλαµπος» στο Ηράκλειο της Κρήτης. Το κύριο  ενδιαφέρον  µου κλινικά  εστιάζεται  στις ψυχώσεις  και  κυρίως στην αντιµετώπιση  των οξέων επεισοδίων σε ενήλικες και την Τρίτη ηλικία.
